Nella Val d’Orcia, collocato fra prati e boschi, si trova Poggio Narchini una grande fattoria. Dare un’esatta ubicazione alla fattoria non è facile poiché dista soltanto 17 km da Montalcino (famosa città del vino), appena 2 km dal confine con la Val d’Orcia, soltanto 10 km da “Villa Banfi” (importante azienda agricola di proprietà di americani che esportano in patria il vino qui prodotto) e solo 15 km da Castel del Piano. Generi alimentari si trovano a Montenero (3 km) ed a S. Angelo Scalo (2 km).
Durante i periodi  più importanti dell’anno i dintorni della fattoria sono caratterizzati dall’attività della semina e della raccolta dei cereali.
Fu restaurata nel 1998 e divisa in sette appartamenti per vacanze. Gli appartamenti hanno tutti propria entrata e zone separate per sedersi in giardino. Da un sentiero si raggiunge in 1,4 km il fiume Orcia. In questo paesaggio selvaggio e romantico ci si ricorda de “Le avventure di Tom Sawyer e Huckelberry Finn”. E’ un paradiso per giovani e meno giovani. Anche i pescatori si sentono felici in questa natura inviolata. Ci si è preoccupati anche delle famiglie, che possono godere della piscina (16x8).
La fattoria è suddivisibile in 3 lotti: il primo caratterizzato dalla vicinanza della piscina e dalla presenza di due appartamenti (Fiora ed Ombrone) e, sul retro, dalla sala biliardo.
Il secondo lotto è costituito da 4 appartamenti (Gretano, Melacce, Orcia ed Albegna). Il terzo lotto è rappresentato dall’abitazione Zancona posta alle spalle degli altri lotti e molto più isolata rispetto agli altri appartamenti. Gli animali sono i ben venuti.

Per gruppi che, nei periodi di Maggio, Giugno, Settembre, Ottobre, volessero prenotare tre appartamenti insieme (Fiora+Ombrone+Zancona) per 1 o più settimane ciascuno oppure 2 dei 3 appartamenti in questione per almeno 2 settimane ciascuno, è possibile tenere chiusi tutti gli altri appartamenti della struttura.

Passiamo adesso a descrivere gli appartamenti.

ALBEGNA - GRETANO ha l'ingresso rialzato con 3-4 scalini. Entrambi dispongono di 2 camere da letto matrimoniali e di un bagno (Gretano con vasca-doccia e Albegna con doccia). Gretano ha in ciascuna delle due camere anche un letto singolo (dunque può ospitare un massimo di 6 persone). In Albegna, invece, una sola delle due camere può accogliere un letto singolo (dunque è per 5 persone). Entrambi gli appartamenti hanno un soggiorno con angolo cottura ma, soltanto Gretano dispone di un camino in soggiorno.

La lavatrice è presente all'interno degli appartamenti Fiora, Ombrone, Gretano e Melacce. Una lavatrice in comune è prevista per gli ospiti di Zancona, Orcia ed Albegna. In tutti gli appartamenti vi è una Tv con antenna parabolica puntata sul satellite Astra. I tre barbecue posti nei giardini sono in comune con tutti gli appartamenti. All'interno di ogni abitazione il proprietario lascerà 2 ombrelloni da riportare in casa ogni qualvolta abbiate terminato il vostro soggiorno in piscina.

 POGGIO NARCHINI Poggio Narchini, a big country farm, is located In the Val D’Orcia, amidst green meadows and woods. This farm  is only 17 km from Montalcino (the famous wine town), only 2 km from the Val D’orcia border, 10 km from Villa Banfi (a very important farm owned by American people who export to the US the wine produced there) and 15 km from Castel del Piano. Groceries can be found in Montenero (3 Km) and in S. Angelo Scalo (2 Km).
During the most important periods of the year, the farm is busy with sowing and cereal harvests.
The building was refurbished in 1998 and turned into 7 holiday flats which have a private entrance and a separate garden each. The Orcia river is only 1.4 km from the house. The romantic path that leads to the river brings back to the mind the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Hukelberry Finn. It is a garden of Eden for both young and older people. Fishermen too feel safe surrounded by this wild and uncontaminated nature.
There is also a swimming pool  (16 x 8) for the guests.
The farm house can be divided into three units : the first one is next to the pool and has got two flats (Fiora and Ombrone)  and a billiards room at the back.
The second unit has got four flats (Gretano, Melacce, Orcia and Albegna). The third unit has got only one flat (Zancona) which is at the back of the other units and more isolated than the other flats.
Pets are welcome at Poggio Narchini.

For groups which, in the months of May, June, September, October, would like to reserve 3 flats together (Fiora + Ombrone + Zancona) for 1 or more weeks each, or 2 of the 3 flats for at least 2 weeks each, we can lock up  all the other flats of the  building.

The flats are the following:

ALBEGNA - GRETANO Gretano's front door can be reached by walking up a flight of stairs (just 3-4 steps). Both flats have got two double bedrooms and a bathroom (Gretano with a tub-shower and Albegna just with a shower). Gretano's bedrooms have got also a single bed , therefore it can host up to 6 people). Albegna, instead, has only one bedroom with a single bed too, which means that the flat can host up to 5 people. Both flats have got a living room with cooking facilities, but only Gretano has got a fireplace.

The following flats are equipped with a washing machine each: Fiora, Ombrone, Gretano and Melacce. While Zancona, Orcia and Albegna have got only one thay have to share. All the flats are equipped with Sat TV with a dish pointed towards Astra. All the flats share the three garden Bar-B-Q's. Each flat is also equipped with two beach umbrellas which have to be taken back into the flats after using the swimming pool.

POGGIO NARCHINI Im Orciatal, zwischen Wiesen und Wäldern, befindet sich “Poggio Narchini” - ein großer Bauernhof. Es ist nicht einfach, die genaue Lage dieses Landgutes anzugeben, weil es nur 17 km von Montalcino (berühmte Weinstadt), nur 2 km von der Grenze zum Orciatal, nur 10 km von „Villa Banfi“ (bedeutendes Weingut in amerikanischem Besitz, das den hier produzierten Wein größtenteils nach Amerika exportiert) und 15 km von Castel del Piano entfernt ist. Lebensmittelgeschäfte befinden sich in Montenero (3 km) und S. Angelo Scalo (2 km).
Während der Urlaubszeit ist die Umgebung des Bauernhofes von der Tätigkeit der Saat und Ernte des Getreides charakterisiert.
Im Jahre 1998 renoviert, wurde er in 7 Ferienwohnungen aufgeteilt. Alle Wohnungen verfügen über einen eigenen Eingang und getrennte Gartenbereich um dort zu sitzen. Über einen Pfad (1,4 km) erreicht man den Fluss Orcia. In dieser wilden und romantischen Landschaft fühlt man sich an die Abenteuer von Tom Sawyer und Huckleberry Finn erinnert. Es ist ein Paradies für jung und alt. Auch die Angler fühlen sich ganz wohl in dieser unberührten Natur. Man hat auch an die Familien gedacht, die das Baden in einen Pool (16x8m) genießen können.
Den Bauernhof kann man in 3 Bereiche teilen: Der erste Teil liegt in der Nähe des Pools mit zwei Wohnungen (Fiora und Ombrone) und auf der Rückseite einem Billardsaal.
Der zweite Teil besteht aus 4 Wohnungen (Gretano, Melacce, Orcia und Albegna). Der dritte Teil ist die Wohnung Zancona, die hinter den anderen getrennt von diesen liegt. Tiere sind gern gesehen.

Für Gruppen, die in den Monaten Mai, Juni, September und Oktober für eine oder mehr Wochen drei Wohnungen miteinander mieten möchten (Fiora+Ombrone+Zancona) oder auch nur zwei der drei Wohnungen, für mindestens zwei Wochen, ist es möglich die anderen Wohnungen geschlossen zu halten.

Jetzt beschreiben wir die Wohnungen:

ALBEGNA - GRETANO Gretano hat einen erhöhten Eingang mit 3-4 Stufen. Beide verfügen über zwei Doppelbettzimmer und ein Bad (Gretano mit Badewanne und Albegna mit Dusche). Gretano hat in jedem Schlafzimmer noch ein Einzelbett (bis 6 Personen maximal). In Albegna kann nur in einem der Schlafzimmer noch ein Einzelbett dazugestellt werden (daher 5 Personen Maximum). Beide verfügen über ein Wohnzimmer mit Kochnische aber nur Gretano hat darüber hinaus noch einen Kamin im Wohnzimmer.

Eine Waschmaschine befindet sich in den Wohnungen Fiora, Ombrone, Gretano und Melacce. Eine gemeinsame Waschmaschine ist für die Gäste von Zancona, Orcia und Albegna vorgesehen. In jeder Wohnung ist ein TV mit Astra Sat-Anschluß. Drei Grills stehen allen Wohnungen zu Verfügung. In jeder Wohnung stellt der Besitzer zwei Sonnenschirme zur Verfügung, die nach dem Aufenthalt am Pool zurück nach Hause zu bringen sind.
